Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Tracklounge holds your payment securely until the work is done. This policy explains, plainly, when you get your money back. It applies alongside our Terms of Service.
1. How payment works
Posting a track is free. You only pay when you choose a Reviewer for your track. That payment is held securely (in escrow) and is released to the Reviewer only after the feedback is delivered and has passed our quality check. Until then, your money is protected.
2. Choosing a Reviewer (72-hour decision window)
Once the first Reviewer applies to your track, you have 72 hours to choose one. We send you reminders along the way. If you do not choose a Reviewer within that window:
- The listing comes off the marketplace and everyone who applied is released, so no Reviewer is left waiting on you.
- Relisting it takes one click and is free.
- If you had already paid (for example on a pre-paid listing), that payment stays on file so relisting costs nothing extra. If you never relist, we refund it automatically 14 days after the listing closed.
3. Cancelling a listing
You can cancel a listing for free any time before you choose (and pay for) a Reviewer. Any Reviewers who applied are notified and released, and if you had pre-paid, that fee is refunded in full.
Once you have chosen and paid a Reviewer, the engagement is committed. From that point, refunds happen through the late-review protection below, a Reviewer stepping down, or a dispute, rather than a direct cancellation.
4. If your review is late
When a Reviewer accepts your track, they have 7 days to deliver. If that deadline passes without a delivered review:
- You can get a full refund at any time from the session page, or relist the track for a different Reviewer.
- If neither happens, we refund you automatically 3 days after the deadline (10 days after acceptance) and close the session. You do not need to do anything.
5. If your Reviewer steps down
A Reviewer who realises they can't finish can step down before delivering. If that happens, you are refunded in full automatically and your track goes straight back on the marketplace for a new Reviewer. There is nothing you need to do.
6. Quality check
Every delivered review is checked by our quality team before it reaches you. If a review does not meet our standard, it is sent back to the Reviewer to fix before you ever see it. Your payment stays in escrow throughout.
7. If you are not satisfied
After a review is delivered, if you believe it does not meet a reasonable standard, you can raise a dispute from the session page. You have 14 days after delivery to request a revision or raise a dispute. Our team reviews every dispute and resolves it in one of these ways:
- a free re-review (by the same or a different Reviewer), or
- a full or partial refund, or
- keeping the review as delivered, if it met the agreed scope.
8. Revisions
Some packages include a revision round. You can also buy an extra revision after your review is delivered. If a Reviewer is unable to take on an extra revision you purchased and declines it, that revision is refunded to you automatically.
9. How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to your original payment method through our payment processor, Stripe. Depending on your bank, it can take a few business days for the funds to appear. We do not charge a fee for refunds.
10. Questions
If anything about a payment or refund is unclear, email support@tracklounge.com and we will help.
